Dive Supervisor

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Diver Supervisor position will work underwater using surface supplied air to inspect, repair or adjust equipment and structures. This positions offers knowledge, skills and experience of marine inspections and structures.  The Dive Supervisor will manage dive teams and project scope not limited to onsite services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Directly responsible to the Operations Manager for ensuring that all operations under his supervision are carried out in accordance with established Marine Solutions, Inc. operating and safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement emergency/contingency procedures.
• Be capable of completing all required daily safety sheets and holding daily safety meetings.
• Understand the project scope and your part of what needs to be completed.
• Know line pull, crane signals.
• Possess thorough knowledge of treatment and emergency procedures for all types of diving related accidents.
• Supervise Dive Team and direct Dive Team in all service capabilities.
• Use quality assurance techniques and adhere to safety procedures.
• Must have the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining service equipment and certification for the proper operation of equipment necessary to perform all aspects of the Diving Service.
• Bidding and contract negotiations.
• Report all accidents or incidents involving personnel in accordance with reporting procedures. 
 

YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work hard, remain motivated, and be a self-starter.
  • Thorough knowledge of all ADCI & Governing Regulations that apply to the diving industry.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to guide and inspire team members.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card. 
  • 5-6 years Commercial Diver experience.
     

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Association of Diving Contractors – Supervisor Card
  • Completed ANSI requirements for training hours
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, DAN O2 Administration certifications
  • Completed Skills Checklist 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 30-hr OSHA Construction course

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY

The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the required duties of this position.

This position requires maintaining current industry knowledge and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and/or other activities that may require additional and/or flexible working hours. The ability and availability to readily work overtime and perform duties outside of normal working hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
